Where Hasentree is

Hasentree is north of Raleigh, near Falls Lake and north of the Wakefield area. It is in unincorporated Wake County, outside the Wake Forest town limits, though homes use Wake Forest 27587 addresses (Wake County property records). That means Wake County, not the Town of Wake Forest, handles planning and zoning here.

HOA

The Hasentree market right now

For the 27587 ZIP code, which covers Wake Forest and a large area around it, Redfin reports for the three months ending September 2026:

  • Median sale price: $502,352, up 1.5% year over year
  • Median days on market: 54, compared with 41 a year earlier
  • Homes sold in September: 414, compared with 440 a year earlier
  • Sale-to-list price: 98.5%
  • Homes with a price drop: 51.0%

What it means: Hasentree prices run well above the 27587 median, and about half of ZIP listings took a price cut. Homes are taking longer to sell than a year ago, so pricing from Hasentree sales of similar size and lot matters.

Assigned schools

The Wake County Public School System assigns by address. For 2026-27, a sample of 60 Hasentree addresses were zoned for North Forest Pines Elementary or Brassfield Elementary, both on year-round calendars, then Wakefield Middle and Wakefield High (WCPSS).
