Buying in Preston: what to check
- Club membership is separate. Buying a home in Preston does not by itself make you a club member. Ask Prestonwood Country Club about membership types and current openings.
- Which HOA? Find out if the home is in the Preston Community Association or a separate HOA. Get the dues, rules and any planned fees in writing.
- Golf course lots. Look at the home from the course side. Ask about stray golf balls, cart path noise, views and any fence or landscaping rules.
- Tournament week. The SAS Championship comes each October. Ask how it affects traffic and parking near the course.
- Schools. Check the exact address with WCPSS before you write an offer.
Selling in Preston: what buyers ask about
Buyers here often ask the same questions. Have the answers ready:
- Which HOA covers the home, what are the dues, and what do they include?
- Is the home on the course, and which course?
- What's the roof age, and when were the HVAC systems replaced?
- Which schools is the address assigned to this year?
A clear packet with these answers helps buyers say yes faster.
